3. Creating vocabulary
After creating a group, we recommend creating a vocabulary. In the main menu, click New to open the page for creating a new vocabulary. Enter a vocabulary name (required), optionally select the foreign and native languages, and click Create .
Once the vocabulary has been created, 15 lessons are automatically added. You can rename them, reorder them using drag and drop, or adjust them to match your own learning system. You can create up to 20 lessons.
You do not need to configure everything immediately. If you only enter the vocabulary name and click Create , you can change all settings, including the lessons, at any time later.
4. Filling the vocabulary
To add words to your vocabulary, first select the vocabulary on the home page. Then click Add/Edit in the main menu. Select the Lesson where you want to add the new word, enter the Foreign and Native words, and choose the desired Add as status:
Locked - students cannot practice this word,
Unlocked - students cannot practice this word,
Learned - students cannot practice this word,
You can also add the word to Games so it can be used in games. Finally, you can Import an audio file or Record the correct pronunciation of the word. Click Add to save the word. You can repeat this process to add up to 150 words to a single lesson. For the best learning experience, we recommend adding at least 4 words.
Lesson Packs (Optional)
A lesson can be divided into smaller vocabulary packs. Packs help organize learning and allow you to work with only a selected part of a lesson.
To create a pack, select a lesson and enter a pack name. You can then assign individual words to a specific pack when adding or editing them.
Using packs is optional. If you do not create any packs, all words will remain available within the entire lesson.
5. Adding users
Once your vocabulary is ready, you can add users to your group. Every user must have a registered Livocabulary account. Each group can have one teacher and up to 30 students:
Teacher - can add, edit, and delete words. The teacher can also add or remove students from the group. Each group can have only one teacher.
Student - becomes a student after joining the group. Students can practice vocabulary, play games, and read articles. Each group can have up to 30 students (or up to 10 students in a small school).
Users join the group using a code.
In the main menu, click Group to open group management. Then click Join to display your group code (for example, xyxyxyxyxy). Share this code with your students.
Students then sign in to their accounts, open the Group section, and enter the code. After confirming it, they are automatically added to the group.
