Hangman

The hangman game is a simple word game that you can play at livocabulary.com. The aim of the game is to guess the hidden word by guessing the letters before the whole picture of the hangman is drawn.

Game preparation:

Word selection: Choose a category (lesson), click Practice. The page will generate a random word. This word will appear as a series of underscores that represent the individual letters of the word. For example, if the word is "cat", he writes: _ _ _ _ _.

Drawing preparation: A drawing will appear that will show the step-by-step hanging. Most often, it starts with a stand and body parts (head, torso, arms, legs) are gradually added.

Game rules:

Guess the letters: Click on the individual letters on the screen to guess the letters that could be in the word.

• if you guess the letter, the page will write it in the correct places in the word,
• if you don't guess the letter, the page will draw a part of the hangman's body (eg head, torso, etc.).

Drawing procedure: The drawing consists of six parts of the body:

1. head
2. hull
3. right hand
4. left hand
5. right leg
6. left leg

The game ends in two ways:

• the player wins if he guesses all the letters of the word before the entire hangman is drawn,
• the player loses if the entire hangman is drawn and the player has not yet guessed the entire word.
